Guildford Action Sleep Out
On 29th November we were thrilled to have over 40 people Sleep Out for us at Guildford College.
The weather was kind and it was a steady 4 degrees throughout the night with just a splattering of rain.
Whilst the Sleep Out is always fun, it gives us a little insight into the lives of those without a home. Having to organise yourself to carry around bedding, being alone at the quietest time of the night and then starting the whole process again night after night is something that not only dehumanises, but it is physically exhausting too.
This event raises much-needed funds for us, but also awareness and we are always keen to challenge the stigmas around our homeless community.
